This course provides a comprehensive review of medication management with an emphasis on quality assurance and risk management.

This course is Module 10 in the Executive Director of Assisted Living certificate course. 

After reviewing the following course, you will:

• Know how to perform a three-point check for medications
• Know how to assist/administer medications to residents—the Five Rights
• Know the importance of communication with the pharmacy, residents, families, employees and others
• Be able to use the steps of a quality improvement audit of medications
• Know medication documentation guidelines
• Know how to train medication employees
• Understand the actions needed for medication management as they relate to emergency preparedness

This course will expire 90 days after purchase. You will lose access to the course content 90 days after it is purchased.
