This course provides an overview of resident rights and the executive director’s responsibilities for upholding those rights. This two-part course also addresses issues related to resident abuse, including the various forms of abuse, preventive measures, how to identify the signs of abuse, mandated reporting, and investigations of alleged abuse.

This course is Module 9 in the Executive Director of Assisted Living certificate course. 

After reviewing the following course, you will:

• Know the fundamentals of resident rights
• Know the types of abuse and definitions
• Recognize the details that can identify each type of abuse
• Be able to investigate allegations of abuse
• Know how to develop a media plan
• Be able to implement abuse prevention processes

This course will expire 90 days after purchase. You will lose access to the course content 90 days after it is purchased.
